Author | Inbox Pros

Video marketing is more popular than ever. Some of the most effective marketing campaigns contain video, but using video in your email campaigns can sometimes prove to be a little tricky.

Why is video important?

Videos are the next best thing to being there in person. In an era, where engagement dictates marketing success, video allows you to inform, entertain, and stand out in an inbox full of text emails.

Whether you’re reaching out to announce a new product line or nurturing a particular lead or demographic, the right video can make a huge difference for communicating your message in a way your audience will enjoy.

Over 69% of marketers report using video in their marketing efforts. And Cisco predicts that more than 84% of all internet traffic will be video by 2018. That’s pretty significant!

Now, as much as your email recipients will love your videos, their email systems may not. Not all email clients are compatible with video playback.

  • If video embedding is not allowed, you will want insert an image that displays a play button that will link to your hosted video, such as the example below.
